PETER U. LANFRIT is a Cum Laude graduate of Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Rutgers University Law School, Newark, New Jersey. He has been a practicing attorney in New Jersey since 1973.
Mr. Lanfrit was initially employed by the law firm of Edward J. Dolan, Esq., Carteret, New Jersey, from 1972 through 1977 where he tried numerous personal injury and workers compensation matters.In November of 1978, Mr. Lanfrit established his own law firm in Hillsborough, New Jersey. A partnership was formed with Frank Linnus, Esq., in July of 1981 and continued through April of 1988. The law firm of Lanfrit & Linnus, Esqs. engaged in the general practice of law including litigation, personal injury, workers’ compensation and land use.
In 1988, Mr. Lanfrit formed the law firm of Lanfrit, Liscinski & Rosenwasser, P.C., with Theodore Liscinski, Jr., Esq. and Robert D. Rosenwasser, Esq. From April of 1988 until February of 2003 his practice was devoted to the fields of land use and real estate.
In March of 2003, Mr. Lanfrit formed the Law Firm of Lanfrit and Tullio, LLC with Michelle M. Tullio, Esq., since that time Mr. Lanfrit has devoted his practice to the fields of land use and real estate. In March of 2015, Mr. Lanfrit formed the Law Firm of Peter U. Lanfrit, LLC and in 2019 he joined the Law Firm of Borrus, Goldin, Foley, Vignuolo, Hyman and Stahl, P.C. In 2024, Mr. Lanfrit joined the firm of Savo, Schalk, Corsini, Warner, Gillespie, O’Grodnick & Fisher, P.A. as an Of-Counsel attorney.
Mr. Lanfrit has served as Municipal Court Judge for the Township of South Brunswick and has previously served as a Municipal Prosecutor and Rent Leveling Board Attorney. Mr. Lanfrit is a past President of the Franklin Township Chamber of Commerce and has served on its Board of Directors. Mr. Lanfrit was a member of Raritan Valley County Club and served in its Board of Directors and is a past president.
Mr. Lanfrit has since 1981 handled numerous land use applications including but not limited to Commercial Development (shopping centers, stand alone sites, office buildings, office parks, hotels and restaurants), Industrial Development (manufacturing facilities, warehouses, data centers, mining operations, transfer stations and cellular towers), Redevelopment, Residential (single family residential subdivisions, active adult communities, multifamily dwellings, townhouses and condominiums) and Public (churches, schools and charter schools).
